Dear TAG members

Given the national health emergency that the country is facing, TAG has decided to do our bit to slow the spread of the covid-19 virus and protect the health of our members by cancelling our events for the next 2 months. There will be no workshops, no evening demonstrations and no committee meetings in March and April 2020.

We will be keeping a close eye on developments, official guidance and advice from the Government and Public Health England over the next few months and will review whether to go ahead with events in May and June nearer the time. Our demonstrator for June has also cancelled so this demo will not go ahead.

What can we do to stay in touch and keep our spirits up? Why not use our Facebook page to stay in touch and share your art work? You can still do a monthly challenge painting – but share online rather than in person. There are lots of art related free online learning and events that you can try, why not check out http://www.openculture.com/free-art-art-history-courses ? Know somewhere else to go online for an art fix? Please share and comment.

Lots of voluntary groups and organisations are setting up in Taunton to help people who are self isolating and need assistance with shopping or a phone call. If you need help or can offer help why not join one of the new Facebook groups like Coronavirus Community Help Taunton? We look forward to meeting again soon, in the meantime, stay safe and well.

All best wishes from the TAG committee
