Jack Dickson – Wednesday 26th May 2027

Subject: Portraits – collage, inks, acrylics

In Jack’s current portraits, place and context are always present — but encoded rather than stated. Using collage and mixed media, topographical maps, street plans, textile patterns, cultural objects and landscape, fragments are layered into backgrounds and clothing, partially obscured, hinting at the different worlds a subject carry. Each element has been chosen; nothing is decorative. The work asks you to stay, to look slowly, to discover — and in doing so, to experience something of the accumulation that makes a life.
Jack has a sustained national television profile including BBC One’s Extraordinary Portraits (Series 4 and 5), Make it at Market and Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year. His work is held in public collections including the National Portrait Gallery’s online collection and the Guildhall, City of London Corporation.

Vanessa Snowdon-Carr – Wednesday 23rd June 2027

Subject: Abstract gelli painting

Vanessa’s artistic journey blends passion with exploration. Starting with drawing, painting, and quilting, she found her true calling in mono printing, merging texture, shape, pattern, and colour in vibrant, spontaneous mixed media pieces.

The sea deeply inspires her work, with its colours and plant life influencing her use of seaweed, found objects, and stencils to create intricate layers. Metallic mediums add a dynamic quality, making her art shimmer and shift with light.

Adam Grose – Wednesday 28th July 2027

Adam will show a variety of ways in which you can use a screen, to form a range of screenprints, by hand, without the need for expensive equipment.
“For me, making is not simply about creating an outcome, but about remaining open to possibilities within the process itself.  It is through this continual interaction between material, memory, and gesture that the work gradually reveals something beyond its initial intention.”
